Privacy Policy
Hearthtone is a music player for servers you run or can sign in to, such as Navidrome. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
We don't collect your data
Hearthtone has no account with us, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We don't receive your music, your listening history, your server addresses or your passwords.
What stays on your device
The servers you add, your settings, your saved queue, your downloads and the covers it keeps are stored on your device. Your server passwords are stored in the device's keychain. The Home Screen widgets read a small summary of what's playing from storage shared with the app on the same device.
What goes to your server
Hearthtone talks only to the servers you add. It sends them your sign-in, asks them for your music, and tells them what you played (scrobbling), what you marked as a favorite or rated, and the playlists you edit — as any client of your server does. With Hearthtone Pro's queue sync turned on, your queue is saved on your server. What your server does with this is up to whoever runs it.
Local network
Hearthtone asks for access to your local network only to reach servers on it.
Purchases
Hearthtone Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we receive no payment details and only the anonymous sales reports Apple gives developers.
Crash reports
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash and performance reports. Hearthtone also keeps the crash and hang reports the system gives it on your device; they leave it only if you share them yourself from Settings → About.
Children
Hearthtone isn't directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
